Course Description: These professionals perform the management of aging care and study biological, psychological, and social aspects of aging. They can work in hospitals, outpatient clinics, health units, home care programs, living centers, and medium and long-term care institutions.

The activities developed by gerontologists are the evaluation of older adults, planning, and execution of actions that promote quality of life, research, management of institutions and services aimed at the older population, besides monitoring and supporting older adults’ caregivers and families.
